Pause Tiles Privacy Policy

Sledgeworx LLC ("we," "us," or "our") built Pause Tiles as a meditative tile-matching game. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.

Our Commitment

Pause Tiles is designed to be a calm, private space. We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. The app is fully functional without providing any personal information.

Information the App Stores Locally

Pause Tiles stores the following data on your device only, using your device's built-in app storage (UserDefaults on iOS, and the equivalent local storage on Android). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us:

Game preferences: Selected theme, game mode, grid size, layout settings (e.g., left-handed tray), and theme rotation preference.
Game progress: Number of games completed per theme and which bonus tiles you have unlocked.

This data is deleted if you uninstall the app or erase your device.

In-App Purchases

Pause Tiles offers optional tile set purchases. All transactions are processed securely by Apple through the App Store, or by Google through Google Play billing, depending on where you downloaded the app. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, Apple ID, or Google Account.

Photo Library Access

If you choose to save digital stickers from the app, Pause Tiles will request permission to access your Photo Library on iOS, or your photo gallery on Android. This access is used solely to save sticker images to your device. We do not access, upload, or transmit any of your photos.

Email Mailing List

Pause Tiles includes an optional link to our website (pausetiles.com) where you may choose to sign up for our email mailing list. Please note:

Signing up is entirely voluntary. The app is fully functional whether or not you join.
Email collection happens on our website, not within the app. The app simply opens a link in your browser.
We use your email address solely to send occasional updates about new themes, features, and Pause Tiles news.
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link included in every email.
To request deletion of your email address, contact us at hello@pausetiles.com.

Analytics and Tracking

Pause Tiles does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not:

Collect device identifiers or advertising IDs (IDFA)
Use third-party analytics tools (such as Firebase, Amplitude, or Mixpanel)
Display third-party advertisements
Track your behavior, usage patterns, or gameplay data
Use cookies or similar tracking technologies

Third-Party Services

The app contains links to external websites, including our gift shop (hosted on Zazzle) and our website (pausetiles.com). These sites have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. Tapping a link is always your choice; the app does not automatically send data to these sites.

Children's Privacy

Pause Tiles does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the app does not collect any personal data, it is safe for users of all ages.

Data Security

Because Pause Tiles does not collect or transmit personal data, there is minimal risk to your privacy. All locally stored preferences and progress remain on your device, protected by your device's built-in security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
